Google Hotel Ads · Deadline September 30, 2026
On September 30, your booking link on Google disappears.
Google is retiring the free shortcut that's been quietly filling in your room rates. After that date, hotels without their own price feed lose their row in Google's hotel results entirely — replaced by Booking.com, Expedia, and every OTA paying commission to stand where your direct booking link used to be.
Verified reporting: Hospitality.today →Based on Google's Hotel Center deprecation and independent reporting.
What's actually changing
Your listing doesn't disappear. Your booking link does.
Search your hotel after September 30 and you'll still find it — Google still shows a full page of prices under your name. You just won't be one of them. Every row left in that box belongs to an OTA, and every OTA pays Google a commission when a guest books through it. The only way to keep your own row — the one that sends guests to book directly with you, commission-free — is a live price feed connected through your Hotel Center account, booking engine, or channel manager.
Third-party rates
Google has been finding your prices without you sending anything. That free ride ends — and takes your direct booking link with it.
Your own price feed
Connected through your Hotel Center account, booking engine, or channel manager. This is the only way your own row survives.
And fixing it isn't a one-afternoon job. Campaigns running on the old third-party setup can't simply be switched over — once your feed is live and passing Google's accuracy checks, your Hotel Ads campaigns have to be rebuilt from scratch.
Why this is worse than it looks
Fixing your feed once doesn't end the risk.
Even hotels that already have a feed connected aren't fully safe — Google keeps grading it, continuously, and a bad grade quietly costs you position and budget.
Your row disappears, not drops
This isn't a ranking penalty. Without a feed, there's no row for your hotel at all — only the OTAs remain, each billing a commission on every booking.
Old campaigns can't just move over
Once your feed is live, existing Hotel Ads campaigns have to be rebuilt, not edited. Budget the time, not just the setup.
The accuracy score never stops grading you
Google compares your feed against your live booking page — total price, taxes, fees, all of it — continuously. Fall below its top grade and your listing quietly loses position and costs more to run.
Mismatches get pulled, not flagged
A stale resort fee, or a price shown one click too late, gets your listing pulled from display — reinstated only once it's fixed. Most hotels don't notice until bookings are already down.
How we fix it
Audit. Connect. Rebuild. Then keep watching.
Audit
We check whether you already have a Hotel Center feed connected — and if you do, we pull your current price accuracy score so you know exactly where you stand.
Connect
If you don't have a feed, we set one up through your PMS, channel manager, or a certified connectivity partner — built to pass Google's accuracy checks, not just go live.
Rebuild & monitor
We relaunch your Hotel Ads campaigns once the feed passes, then keep watching the accuracy score so a small mismatch doesn't quietly turn into a pulled listing.
